Hi and thanks for stopping by!
The Family Conscience is for families who are keen to raise their children to be curious about the world, and for parents who are interested in supporting their children to navigate life’s challenges, prioritising confidence, kindness and positivity.
I also offer ideas for family travel to destinations which will stoke the fires of little people’s imaginations and educate them about things that really matter, such as environmental issues, culture and wildlife. I’m a big believer in the importance of travelling in education. You’ll find a range of articles here, from How To be a Conscious Traveller to Borneo with Kids and the Perfect Family Itinerary.
Finally, if you’re looking for resources or gifts, check out my Books and Gifts section. My article The Best Socially Conscious Gifts for Kids has some great ideas for upcoming children’s birthdays!
A bit about me: I’m Jane – parent to two children, social worker and eager traveller. I love reading and learning about all things social and psychological. I love a self-help book nearly as much as I love David Bowie. Which is a lot.
I have an MA in Social Work and have been working with children and families, in particular foster carers and adopters, for over 20 years. I’m in the process of writing my first book – more to come on that soon!
Do get in touch with me via my contact page if you have any questions – I’d love to hear from you.
