Disneyland Paris, which opened in the early 1990s, is smaller than the US version. Located in Marne-la-Vallée, it includes two parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. 2. Château de Versailles

Why Visit: This opulent palace with beautiful gardens is definitely worth exploring. Make sure you check out the Hall of Mirrors and the musical fountain shows.
The chateau was originally a hunting lodge (built by King Louis XIII in 1623). It was developed and expanded by his son, King Louis XIV, becoming the impressive palace you’ll see today. It also became the location of the French court and government in 1682.

3. Giverny (Monet’s Garden)

5. Château de Chantilly

6. Provins
Travel Time: 1 hour 20 minutes

Why Visit: You’ll step back in time when you visit this medieval town which became particularly prosperous in the Middle Ages as a key trading centre. Since 2001, it’s been a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been carefully preserved.

Van Gogh is buried in the village cemetery next to his brother Theo.
